Reading and Launch for dig.#11

Good news for fans of dig. and for poetry in Toronto! I will be having a launch for the eleventh issue of dig. after all, in conjunction with Anvil Press. Here are the details:

Anvil Press & wayward armadillo press invite you to the Toronto launch of The Sleep of Four Cities by Jen Currin in conjunction with the launch of literary zine dig.#11

Powered by lush imagery and lyricism, the poems in The Sleep of Four Cities use the city as a metaphor for the complexity of self.

“...an air of menace suffuses these brilliantly erotic and dangerous poems. Currin is a startling new talent who bears watching.” - John Ashbery

The eleventh issue of dig. features an in-depth interview with Jen Currin.

Join us for an evening of neo-surrealist poetics, realist fiction, and other adventures in between!

Monday, May 29, 2006 at 8pm
The Cameron Public House (Queen & Spadina)

Featuring readings by dig. contributors:
Salvatore Difalco
Gary Barwin
Kevin Connolly
Jen Currin

and hosted by Jennifer LoveGrove

(no cover charge, but copies of The Sleep of Four Cities and dig. will be available for sale)

Definitely not to be missed!

It looks like a great line up for dig, and I'm very much looking forward to making the acquaintance of Jen Currin's work as well. I'll be there with bells on.
